This year’s IBM Information On Demand EXPO Hall is going Virtual !

For the first time at any IBM Conference, we are proud to offer to all our sponsors and exhibitors the opportunity to be a part of the Virtual World that is the 3D Internet. IBM Information On Demand 2008 has joined forces with IBM Business Partner DSCI, the creators of the product called Virtual Convention. This new technology will give our sponsors an amazing marketing tool to extend the reach of the IBM Information On Demand 2008 event even farther. Your booth can now be represented in a 3D format that will allow attendees of Information On Demand to interact with sponsors during and after the live event as if they were actually there !
This technology will allow the EXPO hall attendee to: a) Continue to have an EXPO experience even after the conference has competed. b) Walk the EXPO floor as if they were there right from the comfort of their desktop. c) Have the flexibility to visit each vendor booth at their own leisure and focus on the products and services that you have to offer. d) View your presentations, marketing materials and link to your web sites with easy navigation tools.
Virtual Convention also includes a tracking mechanism that monitors a user's movements in the virtual world and provides valuable reports on the usage of the product by the attendee, booths visited, information gathered and other pertinent information that will be shared with you 90 days after the show has completed. Check out this link to a video which will demonstrate how this leading edge technology will extend your marketing reach longer after the conference is over.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Virtual EXPO?
A: Virtual EXPO is a product of DSCI that allows you to create a three-dimensional version of your booth that will be located in a highly realistic, interactive virtual representation of the IOD EXPO floor. Participants select a booth from DSCI’s library of 3D booths, and upload their marketing content that they want Virtual EXPO users to view at the virtual booth. Users will be able to interact with your Virtual EXPO booth by clicking on the pedestals, creating a direct link to your web site or launching applications that allow them to view PowerPoint files, Adobe Acrobat files. Booths that include plasma TV screens allow the users to view streaming videos about your products and services long after the show is over! The Virtual EXPO will be put onto a DVD and distributed to all IOD attendees.
Q: How do I purchase my virtual booth space?
A: Indicate your preference for the Virtual EXPO when you submit your online contract to sponsor/exhibit at this year’s IOD EXPO!
